About Me

My name is Erik Hasanof. I am a passionate Unreal Engine generalist whose primary focus is on UI framework and gameplay system engineering.

I have been working as an independent contractor since 2016.
This experience has been invaluable as I have had the chance to interact with new tools and technologies, new genres and ideas. It has also allowed me the chance to work with teams of different sizes and backgrounds. I take great honor in being able to work on the most interesting up-and-comping opportunities that present themselves and the consistent growth and wisdom that comes with it. 

As a huge variety gamer in my spare time, I have been able to explore games in all their genres and art styles while also maintaining a keen eye for game design. My experience ranges from 2D to 3D, pixel to realism, first person to third person, RPG to farming simulators. I use this experience to find creative, fun, and unique ways to implement new features into current and future projects, bringing them to the next level.

PROJECTS

3D Mobile tilt based marble labyrinth game.

Developed by me alone, with some elements outsourced to third party studios or freelancers. Such as sounds/music/logo and other artist related aspects.

Casual 3D mobile tower stack game.

Solo developed over the course of 5 months.
Took me a step deeper in learning about color codes, shader calculations and math based behavior visuals (Block pieces falling).

Vehicle physics & racing experimenting.

Early UE4 learning project.
Created to experiment with an early vehicle racing / combat game prototype that utilized custom physics.

Third / First person template for future use.

A project to be used as a base for future projects. A combination of systems and tricks from Epic Games own Lyra Template and the very popular Advanced Locomotion System (ALS) from the UE marketplace.
